Last updated September 2026. By using Takeover Secret Shop you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Takeover Secret Shop is a mystery shopping platform operated by Takeover Search LLC. It is a marketplace that connects businesses with independent mystery shoppers. Businesses purchase mystery shop visits; shoppers complete scorecards with photos and comments; businesses receive scores and AI-generated experience reports.
2. Accounts and roles
You must create an account and choose a role (business or shopper) to use the service. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from the Account page.
3. Business responsibilities
Businesses must provide accurate shop details, instructions and locations, and must review submissions in good faith. Ordering a shop commits the business to the listed price.
4. Shopper responsibilities
Shoppers must complete visits honestly and in person where required, submit truthful scores, comments and authentic photo evidence, and must not disclose their identity as a mystery shopper during a visit.
5. Content and reports
Scorecards, photos and AI reports are shared between the business and the shopper for that shop. You retain ownership of content you create and grant us a license to store, process and display it to operate the service.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, submit fraudulent evidence, harass staff, or attempt to access another user's data. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
7. Liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the marketplace.
